Test WildflowerJS components with confidence using our official test utilities package.
@wildflowerjs/test-utils
The official testing utilities package provides everything you need to test WildflowerJS applications:
- Framework loading - Load source or distribution builds
- State isolation - Clean slate between tests
- Timing utilities - Wait for reactive updates correctly
- Vitest integration - Automatic setup with hooks
- TypeScript support - Full type definitions included
Installation

Quick Start
The Easy Way: setupWildflowerTests()
For most tests, use the automatic setup helper:

setupWildflowerTests() automatically handles:
- Loading the framework (
beforeAll) - Resetting state between tests (
beforeEach) - Creating and cleaning up test containers
- Reinitializing the context system

Timing Utilities
WildflowerJS uses reactive updates that happen asynchronously. Always wait after state changes:

Poking State from the Console
Everything reactive is drivable from the browser console, because component and store contexts are the framework's own reactive proxies. What you type in the console is exactly what application code does:

With the WildflowerJS DevTools extension installed, selecting a component
in the panel binds window.$wf to that component's context, so the console becomes
$wf.count = 5 scoped to whatever you are inspecting. The panel's Components and
Stores tabs also support editing state values directly, and the panel has an inline console
with $wf pre-bound.
pool.update(key, props)), not console writes to
pool.items[i]; and underscore-prefixed fields (this._foo) are
the documented non-reactive escape hatch, so console writes to them will not repaint.
